Honor Ensemble Information
- Middle & High School Honor Ensemble (Band or Orchestra) for instrumentalists in grades 6-8 and 9-12
- Featured Honor Concert Performance at the RWS Music Festival, Robert W. Smith featured conductor
- Rehearsals and Master classes with Robert W. Smith
- Rehearsals with exemplary guest conductors/clinicians
- A Parent/Director/Chaperone must attend this event along with the performing honor musician
- Great for students in school ensembles where schools are not able to travel as a whole school group – Come as an individual honor musician or with a group from your school
- Orlando local area commuter plan available
- Resort Accommodations for 3 Nights, 2 Resort Breakfast, 2 Lunches, 3 dinners, Honor Ensemble event t-shirt, Honor Ensemble Medal, Awards Breakfast Celebration, transportation between events on itinerary, and 2 day 2 Park Park-to-Park theme park tickets at Universal Orlando Resort included

- Audition required. Auditions must be submitted by Jan 15, 2022. You can register now and send audition link at a later time. On registration form, insert Link to your video performance for audition evaluation (google drive, iCloud, YouTube, DropBox). Audition is 3 Chromatically adjacent scales (2 octaves for HS), a 2 octave chromatic scale, 1 etude excerpt from your most recent state’s own All-state requirements. Percussion students submit the following rudiments (open-closed-open): single-stroke roll, multiple-bounce (buzz/press) roll, double-stroke open roll, five stroke-roll, and single paradiddle plus the scales on mallets
- $150 deposit per person due with registration, balance split into 4 remaining payments between now and February and final balance on 2/15/22

- If a director/parent brings at least 10 students, you attend complimentary
